REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - INDONESIAN - A bomb exploded in Radio 68H News Agency, in the way of Utan Kayu, East Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon. The bomb was a package that also contains a book.

Chronology of bomb explosion Utan Kayu

A package containing a book bomb exploded at the Secretariat office which was also Utan Kayu News Radio (KBR) 68H. The package was addressed to the founder of the Liberal Islam Network (JIL), Ulil Abshar Abdalla.

At least three policemen and an officer of the Utan Kayu Community office, Matraman, East Jakarta, were wounded by a bomb blast on Tuesday (15/03/2011) at around 16:10. The bomb was hidden in a thick book that is intended to Ulil Abshar Abdalla, activist Islam Network Liberal Democratic Party cadres at the same time.

The three policemen who were injured were Commissioners Dodi Rahmawan, Adjunct Karliman Commissioner, and Inspector Two Bara. Dodi had been seriously wounded in his left hand in the blast.

The bomb was hidden in a package of thick books, which sent a man named Azhar Sulaiman, Jalan Bahagia address, Ciomas, Bogor. The book is addressed to Ulil.

The bomb exploded in the book when the police opened the book to defuse a series of suspected bomb. Suddenly, Blaaaam ... it exploded into pieces.
